Azrieli Fellows Workshops 2025-2026

Back to all workshops
  • The Neuroscience of Mental Well-Being

Synopsis

Young researchers in academia face unique pressures, constant uncertainty, and demanding schedules. In a world this demanding, investing in your mental and psychological well-being is critical. Extensive neuroscience research shows that our well-being is not a matter of luck or genetics, but a skill we can actively develop. By nurturing positive habits, reducing stress, and improving our relationships, we can significantly enhance our cognitive, emotional, and social functioning, and support our physical health. In this workshop, we’ll dive into the neural foundations of well-being and discover how to strengthen them using science-backed mindfulness practices.

Outcomes

  • Gain a clear understanding of the brain basis and science of well-being and flourishing
  • Identify specific well-being skills that can be strengthened
