Azrieli Graduate Studies Fellows Forum December 7, 2025

The Graduate Studies and the International Visiting PhD Fellows opened their annual series of forums this week with a focused day of presentations, discussions, and shared reflections. The Fellows Forums are designed as a space for Fellows to learn from one another, strengthen their presentation skills, and gain exposure to work beyond their own disciplines.

Eight Fellows presented their research, offering a snapshot of the diverse projects underway across the new cohort. Topics ranged from the intricacies of teaching Kabbalah to innovative methods for delivering cancer drugs to the brain, alongside work in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The variety encouraged Fellows to engage with unfamiliar areas and exchange questions and insights across fields.

Later in the day, Fellows turned to the doctoral journey itself, reflecting on the challenges of pursuing a PhD and the practical tools that help sustain progress, from resilience and routines to useful resources, and, in some cases, plenty of coffee. The discussion created a supportive environment for sharing experiences and learning from peers.

The forum marked a strong beginning to the four-part series for this track, underscoring the importance of community, skill-building, and cross-disciplinary engagement within the PhD-level Fellowships.
