Synopsis
Completing a PhD dissertation is a lengthy and challenging journey, filled with numerous hurdles. However, as you approach its completion and even after you have obtained your degree, new challenges may arise, leaving you uncertain about the next steps in your career, whether they lie within or beyond the academic realm. This workshop aims to explore and discuss the various options available to PhD candidates as they near the end of their PhD journey. It provides insights into pursuing careers both within and outside academia, gaining familiarity with a wide range of fields and integrating and applying academic research skills into diverse contexts.

- Familiarity with opportunities for content-related work both within and outside the academic sphere
- Enhanced knowledge about approaches to increase accessibility of your academic work
- Practical methods for tailoring research presentations to suit various platforms

About the Instructor
Dr. Omer Einav is a historian and content creator. He has authored two published books: “Defending the Goal” (Am Oved, 2022) and “We’ll Stay Here Forever” (Ha’Kibbutz Hameuchad – Sifriat Poalim, 2022) and is the host of the Podcast “Preliminary Round” (Sports Channel, 2021). With extensive experience in research, writing, and teaching, Dr. Einav has worked both within and outside academia. He earned his PhD in History from the School of Historical Studies at Tel Aviv University.
