The Azrieli Foundation’s response to the attacks on Israel

On Saturday, October 7, the terrorist organization Hamas launched a brutal and devastating multipronged attack against Israel. The targeted, horrific acts of violence killed thousands of civilians and injured thousands more, with many innocent people taken hostage or missing, their fates unknown.

The Azrieli Foundation stands united with Israel as it defends itself, and our hearts are with our friends, families, colleagues, loved ones — and all the people of Israel.

We are committed to supporting Israel during this crisis. We are also heartbroken and grieve the loss and trauma that has left no one in Israel untouched.

The Azrieli Foundation is actively supporting Israel at this dire time by providing $10 million to address the emergency. Five million dollars has already been deployed for many high-priority needs – including first responders, hospitals, medical equipment, trauma support and other assistance for the victims of terror.

The situation remains fluid and impossible to predict, but we know the coming days will be difficult. We will continue to work with all our partners and allies to ensure that our support will have the most significant impact.

We hope and pray for an end to the violence and the safe and swift return of the hostages. May the memories of all those who died be a blessing.

In this time of need, the Azrieli Foundation stands strong and resolute with Israel – chazak v’ematz חזק ואמץ.
