Naomi Azrieli receives the Order of Canada

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Naomi Azrieli has been named an Officer of the Order of Canada, one of our country’s highest honours. This award, presented by the Governor General, acknowledges Canadians who demonstrate outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.

This award recognizes Dr. Azrieli’s leadership in bringing people and institutions together to solve pressing problems in science, health, education and community, and her advocacy for neurodiverse people, caregivers and Holocaust survivors.

Dr. Azrieli’s work not only inspires us, it truly exemplifies the Order’s motto: desiderantes meliorem patriam, meaning “they desire a better country.”

We congratulate her on this richly deserved honour!
