Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, the Azrieli Fellows Program continued its diverse series of workshops designed to support fellows and alumni at every stage of their academic and professional journeys.
The workshops program was introduced several years ago, when we recognized that a one-size-fits-all approach could not adequately serve the wide range of disciplines, career stages, and personal goals represented across our fellowship community. We set out to build something more flexible and individualized: a program that meets each fellow where they are, while also creating additional spaces for our fellows and alumni to come together, exchange ideas, and strengthen the bonds that define the Azrieli community.
This year’s program brought together practical skill-building, career development, research tools, communication, and well-being, giving fellows opportunities to grow both their academic and professional capabilities.
Participation was strong across every cohort, drawing Graduate Studies Fellows, International Postdoctoral Fellows, Visiting PhD Fellows, Faculty Early Career Fellows, and alumni. We recorded close to 500 registrations across the year, with roughly 75% of our current fellows taking part in at least one workshop, alongside dozens of alumni.
The Zoom-based format remained central to the program’s success, enabling fellows and alumni in Israel and abroad to participate together, offering scheduling flexibility, and opening the door to international speakers we might not otherwise have been able to host.
Beyond the practical skills themselves, the workshops continued to serve as valuable spaces for interdisciplinary exchange and community building, bringing together fellows from different institutions, disciplines, and career stages to learn from one another.
We are now in the planning stages for the 2026–2027 workshops program and look forward to continuing to develop meaningful, educational, high-impact professional development opportunities for our fellows and alumni community.
