Championing the arts

Jason van Eyk, Managing Director of the Azrieli Music, Arts and Culture Centre, helped launch the 2025 Canadian Arts Summit at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. The three-day summit brought together more than 175 artistic directors, executive directors and volunteer board chairs from Canada’s largest arts institutions.

Educating for the future

Marc-Olivier Cloutier, Manager of Education Initiatives for the Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program, presented three classes in Berlin, Germany, covering best practices, tools and Foundation resources for teaching students about the Holocaust. The classes were part of Yad Vashem’s 2025 Canadian teacher symposium.

Advancing brain science

Mira Puri, Scientific Director, joined leading scientists in Ottawa for the Stem Cell Network Conference in November 2025. As part of the event, the Foundation co-hosted a pivotal workshop on next-generation treatments for neurological conditions with funding partner the Stem Cell Network.

Caregiving on the world stage

Liv Mendelsohn, Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence (CCCE), and James Janeiro, Director of Policy and Government Relations, joined global leaders in Lisbon, Portugal, for the 25th International Conference on Integrated Care. Mendelsohn co-presented with Dr. Sharon Anderson of the University of Alberta on CCCE’s National Caregiving Strategy for Canada and its implications for caregiver well-being across the country.

Leadership in action

Jody Spiegel, Director of the Azrieli Foundation’s Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program, delivered the keynote address at the Association of Jewish Refugees’ 2025 international forum on Holocaust education in London, England.
