Hosts Renowned Archaeologist Professor Israel Finkelstein
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Azrieli Fellows Program held a milestone Humanities and Social Sciences Seminar, bringing together current fellows and alums from education, architecture, humanities, and social sciences.
This unique gathering reflects the program’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and building a connected, vibrant community of scholars united by a dedication to excellence and innovation. In addition to the multidisciplinary aspect, the seminar provided a unique opportunity for fellows from the Graduate Studies, International Postdoctoral, and Faculty Early Career tracks to connect, as well as engage with alums, fostering a sense of the broader Azrieli community.
The day’s highlight was a talk by Professor Israel Finkelstein, one of the world’s leading archaeologists. In his presentation, Professor Finkelstein shared insights from his groundbreaking excavations at Kiriath Yearim, a site long associated with the biblical Ark of the Covenant.
The seminar exemplified the program’s dedication to providing fellows with opportunities to engage with world-class scholars and exchange ideas across disciplines, fostering a spirit of intellectual curiosity and collaboration.
