Azrieli Postdoctoral Fellows in the Field – Literally!

On Monday, December 13th, Azrieli Fellows rolled up their sleeves and stepped out of their labs and offices to contribute to the community. We began the day with three hours of physical work at Leket: Israel’s National Food Bank, where we sorted out produce that later in the day made its way to needy families. From there we continued to Na Laga’at: a meeting place for deaf, blind, and deaf-blind people with the public, where we learned how to communicate in sign language. Between the avocadoes, parsley, and potatoes – we also had plenty of time to engage in discussion and get to know each other better.
