Beyond Words: Body Language and Non-Verbal Communication
Non-verbal communication (or as it is commonly known – body language) is a crucial and significant element in any human interaction. Everyone, all the time, gives off hidden messages of “first impressions” – hand gestures, posture, clothing, vocal levels, facial expressions etc. In this workshop, we will learn about body language by analyzing videos of politicians, news anchors, and demonstrate the insights gained using the audience. We will present other studies in the field as well as methods which will enable us to improve our body language and communication skills.
Participants will be given an assignment and an instructional video before the beginning of the workshop. They will be required to film themselves according to the directions they will receive ahead of time. Each participant will get individual feedback focusing on what should be kept and what should be improved.
